Ada masalah yang dianggap prinsipil yang sedang digunjingkan. Forum debat pun digelar di sebuah kampus di kawasan Cikini untuk mengakhiri sengketa. Ada kritik-kritik pedas kemudian terlontar bak berondongan peluru AK 47. Satu persatu tuduhan mulai diverifikasi. Namun tak ada yang terbukti. Tapi dua kubu sudah saling berhadap-hadapan, dan kukuh dengan sikapnya masing-masing. Dan voting pun diputuskan sebagai solusi. Saya pun harus berpihak.
Hasilnya, 7 basis kampus menyatakan tetap bertahan, 8 basis kampus keluar, dan 3 basis kampus abstein. Forum rapat yang panas diikuti sekitar 30-an orang itu, akhirnya ditutup dengan mengucapkan bersama-sama “sumpah rakyat Indonesia.” Setelah itu, satu sama lain saling bersalaman dan berpelukan. Suasana haru menyelimuti seketika.
